The ideal candidate will excel in legal research and writing and advocate for law enforcement and public safety employee clients in challenging situations.Duties:Advocate on behalf of law enforcement and public safety employee clientsNegotiate collective bargaining agreementsLitigate grievances and unfair practice charges (PERB/NLRB)Defend retirement claims against CalPERSRequirements:Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the California State Bar3-5 years of experience in labor lawExcellent legal research and writing skillsStrong communication and negotiation skillsProficiency in legal drafting and administrative tasksKnowledge of LexisNexis or other legal research platformsStrong attention to detail and organizational abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentPreferred:Interest and/or experience in negotiating collective bargaining agreementsExperience litigating grievances and unfair practice charges (PERB/NLRB)Experience defending retirement claims against CalPERS
