Beacon AI is seeking a skilled Cloud Data Engineer to lead our efforts in utilizing cloud-stored data to enhance operational insights and safety. This role focuses on building advanced analytical tools, dashboards, and widgets. The successful candidate will be adept at both leveraging existing cloud data and constructing robust data pipelines for real-time data processing and analysis. You will be responsible for the planning, implementation and growth of the backend services. You will need to flourish as part of a growing team and be able to communicate effectively with other engineers, QA, and product management. The ideal candidate will thrive in a product-driven workplace and has a strong desire to build something from the ground up. What you’ll do: Data Pipeline Construction: Develop and maintain pipelines that efficiently ingest and process data into the cloud, ensuring data integrity and accessibility. Analytics Experimentation and Development: Build sophisticated analytical tools that can provide actionable insights and enhance decision-making processes. Dashboard and Widget Creation: Design and implement interactive dashboards and widgets that visualize data for various stakeholder needs, focusing on usability and effectiveness. Collaboration and Support: Work closely with other engineers, QA, and product management to integrate analytics into broader tech infrastructure. Data Security and Compliance: Enforce strict data security measures and adhere to industry standards and regulations to protect sensitive information. Proven Experience with Cloud Technologies: Extensive knowledge of cloud services, especially AWS, for data storage, processing, and analytics. Strong Background in Data Engineering: Demonstrated ability to build and manage data pipelines and construct analytical tools using programming languages such as Python or Node.js. Expertise in Data Visualization: Skills in developing dashboards and widgets with tools like Tableau, Power BI, Amazon QuickSight or custom solutions. Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong capability to analyze data trends and provide insights that can improve decision-making and operational processes. Exhibits initiative to identify blockers and generate solutions independently, ensuring continuous project momentum and team productivity. Team Leadership and Communication: Ability to lead projects and communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to implement and refine data solutions. Bonus Points: Experience: 4+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure or a related fieldExperience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and real-time data processing.Experience in aviation or related fields, understanding the specific data needs and challenges.Background in DevOps or DevSecOps, particularly in automating and optimizing data workflows.
