Position Title: Service Dispatcher Department : Service Reports to: Service Manager The Service Dispatcher Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of $16.00. Commission compensation which is based on the value or amount of service department hours sold ranging from $0 (if no sales are made) with out any upper limit. Position Summary: The Service Dispatcher is primarily responsible for data entry and paperwork necessary to process and complete all repair orders. Working closely with technical and other Service Department personnel with a positive and productive attitude. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Dispatches and tracks all repair orders given to service technicians. Books/flags repair orders. Checks job status as often as necessary to ensure repairs are completed by promised times. Ensure technicians follow warranty material disposition procedures. Review paperwork turned in by technicians to ensure that assigned work has been performed and that the repair order has been completed. Attend meetings as scheduled. Other related duties as needed. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education & Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as repair orders and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, employees and the general public. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Certificates, Licenses, & Registrations: Current, valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and use a computer. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and distance vision.
