Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Sr. Principal Project Management to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals on-site in Melbourne, FL. This project management role oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. Responsibilities:* Manages program rhythm and associated calendars* Develops/maintains Program Definition Documents (PDDs), CWBS, and other Program Management Plans* Integrate, control, and manage program and product requirements* Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives* Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress, for intervention, and problem solving with project managers and functional managers* Coordinate with internal and external customers, integrated product teams, and suppliers* Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions* Work under consultative direction toward long-range goals and objectives* Actively work with Leadership to ensure success of the program* Identify Opportunities to save cost and/or schedule to bring more value to our customer and improve performance* Technical data package analysis* Facilitates Risk, Issue and Opportunity Management* Non-technical requirements management* Program Resource Management Basic Qualifications:* Must have Bachelor's Degree with at least 10 years of experience or Masters Degree with 8 years of experience. Experience must in the any/combination of the following: supply chain management, project management, sustainment, proposals, procurement, resource planning, accounting, or Earned Value experience (EV).* Must have an active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the scope of five years) Preferred Qualifications:* Master's degree in project management* Prior experience in the aerospace industry* Experience in facilities management Salary Range: $95,000 - $142,400The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
