Practice Area: Data Privacy - Transactional, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 4 Years, A law firm based in Denver, CO, is seeking a Data Privacy Associate Attorney with a minimum of 4 years of consumer and employee privacy experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and counsel on various data privacy matters, including compliance projects, drafting privacy policies and notices, advising on data protection agreements, consumer consent workflows, technical website/app issues, and conducting data protection impact assessments. Expertise in employee and consumer privacy laws and regulations, experience in data breach and incident response, and litigation/regulatory enforcement actions is highly desirable. The candidate should possess the IAPP's Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) designation in at least one category and demonstrate excellent academic credentials, strong writing, analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Duties:Provide legal advice and counsel on data privacy compliance projectsDraft privacy policies and noticesDraft or advise on data protection agreementsConduct data mapping exercisesAdvise on consumer consent workflowsAddress technical website/app and digital marketing issues (e.g., cookies, pixels, targeted ads, global privacy controls, dark patterns)Assist clients in conducting data protection impact assessmentsRespond to data subject requestsHandle data breach and incident response and reportingAssist in consumer privacy litigation and regulatory enforcement actions Requirements:Minimum of 4 years of consumer and employee privacy experienceExpertise in employee and consumer privacy laws and regulations (state, federal, and/or international)Experience in data breach and incident response and reportingExperience in consumer privacy litigation and regulatory enforcement actions preferredIAPP's Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) designation in at least one categoryExcellent academic credentialsStrong writing and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Certifications:IAPP's Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) designation in at least one category Skills:Legal research and analysisDrafting legal documentsCommunication and negotiationProject managementAttention to detail and accuracyProblem-solving Nationally-known as one of the largest labor and employment law,firms, this firm has offices throughout the United States and partners with a network of lawyers on six continents to provide the highest quality service around the globe.
