Orthopedic Physician Assistant

Description:
An established orthopedic practice in Iowa City is seeking a Physician Assistant to join their team. Work alongside a team of board certified Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers. Candidates with previous surgical experience as well as recent graduates are welcome to apply. Responsibilities: Full-time permanent position - hand, wrist, foot, ankle, hip, knee, shoulder, and spine Mix of clinic and OR (1 day clinic, 4 days OR) Shared call is 1:7 weekends Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments Diagnose conditions through physical examinations, medical imaging, and laboratory tests Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients Prescribe medications and recommend non-surgical treatments such as physical therapy or rehabilitation Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Qualifications: Iowa State License Knowledge of orthopedic surgery, treatments and terminology Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems Benefits: Competitive base salary Year end bonus Health insurance PTO CME allowance Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
