Case Design/Remodeling, Inc. is one of the areas largest and oldest residential design build firms. With a team of more than 20 designers and 60 Craftsman on staff, we truly build what we design. We are looking for a talented architect to join our team. Case has been ranked as one of the top places to work by the Washington Post and is recognized within the industry as a leader in the practice of design build remodeling. A core component of our culture is trust. We demonstrate this by employing a hybrid work environment that combines in office collaboration time with the ability to work from home. We are seeking candidates who have: A professional degree in Architecture and are licensed to work in the DC area A talent for design that includes massing, space planning, and exterior elevation composition Proficiency in Sketchup and 2D CAD applications Knowledge of local building codes and zoning An ability to work in a team environment of others that are just as passionate Effective communication skills RESPONSIBILITIES Manage a personal schedule to prioritize work on multiple residential remodeling projects from concept through completion Work with fellow team members, vendors, and trade partners to effectively select, price, and order materials for projects A focus on the client experience- this is their home QUALIFICATIONS Architectural registration in DC, MD or VA Minimum of 3 years experience in residential design Excellent communication skills, both written and oral A keen interest in the design / build environment and the dedication to see projects through to their conclusion Strong technical knowledge, including CAD and other design software Demonstrated ability to create relationships with clients Organizational, time management, and planning skills, including the ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects Excellent problem-solving ability Strong team and customer service orientation COMPANY OVERVIEW At Case, we've spent more than 60 years working to turn the dreams of our clients into reality.
