Summary Chandler Jewish Preschool is a Jewish, Reggio Emilia inspired preschool with a strong community of dedicated educators. Our program views children as highly capable, motivated, and deserving of respect. We follow a Conscious Discipline practice of supporting emotional growth. We are looking for the right afternoon teacher to work with us from 12:15pm-5:15pm Monday through Friday starting in August, 2024. Our students enjoy spending most of their afternoons outside when the weather is cool enough, and often work on open ended projects when it is hot outside. Duties This position requires:commitment to safety of all children.being present with children as they play and explore.helping children use the bathroom or diaper changes.helping children transition from school to their parents as they are picked up.making sure that each child goes home with all of their personal items.cleaning and closing of classroom at the end of the day.communication with co-teachers and directors. Requirements High School DiplomaFingerprint Clearance CardCPR/First Aid Certification Nice To Haves It is helpful to have an understanding of Reggio Emilia inspired environments, but most importantly we ask our teachers to share kindness and provide respect for each and every child in our program.
