What We Are Looking For: As the API Architect, you will Lead & collaborate with multi-functional teams to drive API strategy, design, implementation, and monitoring while defining the API’s features, security setup, internal/external onboarding process, and scalability. The preferred candidate will haveExperience with Hybrid multi-cloud (Mix of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and on-prem) applications, building the framework to drive reusability using API. Do you have Strong technical expertise in creating API guidelines, standard methodologies, authentication, and authorization frameworks by adopting industry-standard methodologies? Requirements: US Citizenship (Required) Active SECRET Clearance (Required) BA/BS Degree (Required) Five Years of related work experience (Required) Skills: 5+ years of experience in end-to-end API lifecycle from design, development, management Validated expertise across multiple API platforms, gateways, and APIs for government agencies. Led API strategy/roadmap initiatives considering business objectives in coordination with Developers, Partners, Customers, and Business Users Experience driving the entire API development lifecycle from design & build to governance & management. SME in MuleSoft, CPIS, and SAP APIM, including API proxies, mashups, rate limiting, security, analytics, monetization, and developer portals. Experience with design, development, and deployment of SOA-based architecture for a large organization demonstrating multiple COTS Business applications is preferred! Experience with Tomcat, XML, JMS, XSLT, WS-*, SOA/Integration, and API Management technologies and standards. Experience with using a JAVA IDE (Eclipse, Intelli J, Netbeans) Experience with common web connectivity and integration standards/protocols such as XML, SOAP, REST, JSON, and JDBC Programming Languages: Node.js, Java, J2EE, EJB, JSP, XML, Java Mail, JNDI, SOA, servlet, Struts, J2EE pattern. Proficient in writing multi-threaded processes using MuleSoft APIs, Mule batch jobs, and Mule flows with Anypoint Platform Preferred: Master’s degree in computer science (financial services domain preferred experience from a large organization and have defined Unified Strategy, bringing standardization and API governance Residence in the greater Washington D.C. region: Virginia, the District, or Maryland.
