Our global technology client is looking for a Technical Writer in Seattle, WA. This is a hybrid position and you must be able to commute onsite 3x a week. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and exceptional writing skills to effectively communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences. As a Technical Writer, individuals will play a key role in creating comprehensive and user-friendly documents. Job Responsibilities: 1. Research and Understand Technical Concepts: Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information on technical concepts, processes, and products. Conduct in-depth research to comprehend complex technical topics. 2. Create Clear and Concise Documentation: Develop white papers that are clear, concise, and easy to understand. Translate technical jargon into user-friendly content for both technical and non-technical audiences. 3. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is incorporated into documentation. 4. Review and Edit Existing Documentation: Review and edit existing documentation to maintain accuracy and relevance. Ensure documentation complies with company standards and industry best practices. 5. Stay Updated on Technological Advancements: Keep abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to incorporate the latest information into documentation. 6. Manage Documentation Lifecycle: Organize and maintain a documentation repository, ensuring easy access and version control. Update documentation as necessary. Qualifications: 8-10 years of experience as a Technical Writer in a technology-focused environment. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Technical Writing, Computer Science, Engineering). 5+ years of Strong Technical Background (Data Center, ADO, Cloud, or similar Technology preferred) 8+ years of business communication, professional collaboration Strong understanding of technical concepts, software development, and IT infrastructure. Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail. Proficiency in documentation tools and software Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience with graphic design tools for creating visuals to accompany documentation. Previous experience in cloud computing, software development, or related fields. Portfolio or writing samples must be submitted for consideration. The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $55.85 to $62.05 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
