Practice Area: Corporate - Private Equity, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 4 Years, Boston office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a mid-level private equity transactions associate attorney with 4-6 years of experience representing private equity sponsors in connection with acquisitions, dispositions, and financings. The candidate will be expected to advise private equity funds and their portfolio companies with respect to sophisticated public or private acquisitions, growth investments, and other similar transactions, as well as advise on general corporate matters, including governance and securities law compliance. Will be responsible for drafting and negotiating related transactional agreements. Also, be expected to have the ability to work within teams and manage various parts of transactions independently. Working extensively on private equity transactions that include representing private equity and strategic investor clients on various mergers and acquisition transactions, will be preferred. Should also have proven experience drafting and negotiating private equity documents and advising clients on cross-border transactions. Should have a J.D. degree from an accredited law school or equivalent and be admitted, in good standing, to practice in the state of Massachusetts. Corporate work is the driving force in this large firm although in recent years, IP has played an increasingly important role. Its Boston offices are spacious, modern, and beautifulone of the most satisfying and prestigious firms in which to work. We know of few firms that compete with this firm in terms of the quality and consistency of the work product. Although the hours can be substantial, the compensation is top of the line here, and associates are generally quite happy to be practicing at the top of their profession.
