Practice Area: Insurance Defense - General,Personal Injury Defense, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 2 Years, Orlando office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a PIP attorney with 2-5 years of PIP insurance defense litigation experience. The candidate will manage a significant caseload from inception to post-trial. Will attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials. Prepare pleadings, discovery/discovery responses, motions, and other litigation documents. Prepare timely reports to insurance carriers and clients regarding case status and ongoing activities. Develop clients via relationship-building methods. Travel to various courthouses and other locations is expected. Meet monthly billing requirements. Must have knowledge and experience in first-party property claims and/or PIP litigation. Should have knowledge and expertise in all phases of litigation, from pleadings through trials. Must have knowledge and experience taking and defending depositions. Must be a Good Standing Member of the Florida Bar. Should have knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must be technologically confident, very comfortable using process management systems, and effectively utilize available technology and automation. Knowledge of Time Matters, Juris, and Acuity is a plus. This Florida law firm offers insurance defense to their clients. Their areas of practice include property and casualty, products liability defense, defense fraud, appeals, insurance coverage disputes, and bad faith claims. The firm is located in Tampa, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and Tavernier.Additional Skills: The candidate should have strong and persuasive oral advocacy as well as excellent writing skills. Must be skilled in evaluating cases. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) are needed. Strong problem-solving skills are required. Must have strong organizational skills. Should have effective time management skills. The ability to manage a high-volume caseload is essential. The ability to adhere to deadlines is required. The ability to work with minimal supervision is needed. Should have the ability to demonstrate a sense of urgency. Must have the ability to be a team player. The ability to provide superior client service is essential. The ability to interact with attorneys, paralegals, court personnel, opposing counsel, clients, and office staff in a professional manner is needed. The ability to delegate and prioritize as necessary is required. Excellent academic credentials are required.
