Purpose of Position Design, develop, test and support manufacturing of flight simulators with an emphasis on cockpit and avionics systems, simulator systems, IO interfaces including serial data busses and instrument designs.Electrical Engineer will be involved in projects from the concept and detail of the design through to implementation of final product focusing on manufacturability, safety, performance, reliability, and sustainability of flight simulators. Tasks and Responsibilities:Responsibilities include cockpit and avionics system design, simulator system design, circuit card design, integration and troubleshooting.:Research and interpret aircraft and avionics manufacturer's data in preparation for system and interface design.:Design analog and digital electronic circuits to interface with cockpit and avionics systems.:Perform operational, functional tests and troubleshooting of electronic circuits, avionics and aircraft systems components using specialized tools.:Design and support serial data interfaces to advanced avionics.:Directly interface with various FSI groups, vendors, site personnel, etc.:Create and maintain hardware documentation according to FSI standards.:Create and maintain software documentation and interface specifications.:Provide support during simulator test, hardware/software integration, discrepancy resolution, and simulator certifications.:Provide on:site and remote support (phone, e:mail, network, etc.):Work on own to interpret requirements and complete production projects from start to:finish.:Interpret and work towards project schedules.:Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.:Exhibit and practice professional and courteous behavior while interacting with both internal and external customers.:Interact within a cooperative environment through beneficial behavior, commitment to common goals, contribution to problem solving, communication of ideas and suggestions, and encouragement to other employees and departments.:Accountable for the control and distribution of documents and/or equipment subject to export control restrictions and the security of FSI materials, projects and business information regarding the methods and techniques used in the production and usage of FSI products.:Accountable for the accuracy and completeness of assigned tasks.:Able to adhere to a work schedule including prompt and regular attendance.:Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Minimum Education Bachelors degree in Engineering Preferably Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum Experience N/A Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:AC and DC Electronics, Digital Logic theory and implementation, Computer System theory, Programmable Logic Devices (PLDs), Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), serial data protocols, Microprocessor/Microcontroller theory and implementation, and circuit/system troubleshooting skills.:Desired : Microsoft Office, Computer:aided design (CAD), Altium, OrCAD, Altium, C language, Assembly language, Real:time Operating Systems, embedded systems, FPGA programming languages, and Project Lifecycle Management software:Advanced computer skills and basic office equipment.
