Top Workplaces CRN MSP 500 CRN Solution Provider 500 Boston Business Journal's List of Area's Largest Private Owned, Women Owned and Family-Owned Companies This position reports to the Tax Department Supervisor with the following Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of sales & use tax, personal property tax, and business licenses' for ConRes, as well as monthly reconciliation of sales and use tax general ledger accrual account Assist in the preparation of the company's monthly/quarterly sales and use tax returns Support Tax team by working with various state tax authorities during audits and organize the data in the appropriate format for presentation to these agencies Perform research, as directed, on special projects related to other internal department requests, tax department corporate tax planning projects, and positions taken in response to federal and state tax audits Respond to internal/external requests for tax information and forms without prompting and keeping supervisors and/or department management informed of requests and information provided Update and maintain the Sovos GTD Tax Engine (Sales Tax Software System) Ensure that customers' exemption/resale certificates are maintained within our database Reviewing and processing of customers tax credits related to sales and use tax refund requests Other duties as assigned Qualifications or equivalent: Education: BA/BS degree in accounting, taxes or equivalent Skills: Knowledge of personal computers, SAP and MS Office (especially Word & Excel) Familiarity with sales and use tax Understanding of accounting concepts and familiarity with certain tax types Strong communication skills Experience: 0-1 years, entry level #ConRes PDN-9be77da4-dd09-442f-bb02-e37e2ce5ba9c
