Description:
Responsibilities: Voice Infrastructure Transition: Assist in planning and executing the transition from Nortel to Cisco voice infrastructure. Evaluate existing Nortel voice systems and develop migration strategies to Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) platform. VoIP Configuration and Implementation: Configure and deploy Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and other Cisco voice components to support VoIP services. Integrate Cisco voice systems with existing network infrastructure and applications. Voice Network Optimization: Optimize voice network performance and quality of service (QoS) parameters to ensure optimal voice call quality and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve voice-related issues and outages in a timely manner. Documentation and Training: Document configurations, procedures, and best practices for voice system administration and operation. Provide training and support to end-users and IT staff on the use and management of Cisco voice systems. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience. 3+ years of experience in voice engineering and telecommunications, with expertise in Nortel and Cisco voice systems. Strong understanding of VoIP protocols and technologies, including SIP, RTP, and H.323. Hands-on experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity Connection, and Cisco Voice Gateways. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Effective communication and collaboration abilities. Working Conditions: This is a part-time position Fully remote Flexible working hours based on project requirements.
