About the Position The General Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining, repairing and cleaning our five facilities and grounds to ensure smooth operation of the business. This is a part-time position and will be working 24-32 hours per week and pay will be determined according to experience. The General Maintenance Worker will report directly to the CEO of the company. Essential Job Functions Repair fixtures and equipment such as light fixtures, sink, toilet, 110V outlets and switches, etc. Perform routine building maintenance such as painting, drywall repairs, hanging pictures etc. Custodial duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, emptying trash, etc. Grounds keeping such as weeding, parking line painting, removing debris, etc. Transporting of scrap metal to recycling center to ensure parking lot cleanliness Company document organization for yearly shredding Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s) Minimum Requirements Minimum of 2 years of previous maintenance experience. Plumbing, plastering and electrical backgrounds preferred. Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check Physical Requirements Remaining on your feet for several hours at a time Bending, stretching, lifting, reaching, and climbing Lifting up to 50lbs Use of basic power tools Characteristics Sought Excellent problem solving and prioritizing skills Ability to work with minimum supervision Highly organized Cleanliness Disclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
