1:1 Special Needs Teacher Do you want to work in a role in which you are providing students with meaningful support every day? If this sounds like you, then read on to see how you can become a 1:1 Special needs teacher For this role you will be required to work on a 1:1 basis alongside students of all ages (suited to your experience), providing tailored support to students who face various factors that impact their personal and academic lives. This is a highly rewarding opportunity for any teacher who has experience working with children and young adults with additional needs. We are currently recruiting for multiple cases in your area and have both long and short term roles available with children from 4 Years old up to 17 years old. This is a genuinely fulfilling and rewarding career with real progression opportunities. Key Responsibilities: backssing and identifying the needs of children and young people Providing targeted 1:1 teaching to improve achievement Supporting children and young people across all key stages Teaching and mentoring to address social skills and behaviour Teaching young people strategies for independent learning Providing support for reading recovery, literacy, and numeracy Offering transitional support at the end of key stages and for school integration Providing advice for Statutory backssment managing statement/EHC (Education, Health and Care) review processes. Work closely with parents, guardians, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for the child Maintain accurate records and documentation of all services provided Requirements: Qualified teacher status with experience of teaching children with additional needs Experience of creating and implementing individualised education and behaviour plans Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Understanding.
