As stewards of the province’s financial affairs, we deliver a wide range of corporate fiscal and management services – including the preparation of the provincial budget, forecast updates, and year-end audited financial statements – as well as review departmental submissions to Executive Council and its sub-committees to ensure government plans are coordinated and financial elements are thoroughly understood. We are constantly looking for new and better ways to plan, manage, budget, and invest. About Our Opportunity As the Executive Director Financial Advisory Services, you will be responsible for the overall strategic leadership in developing, leading, and managing the budgetary planning process inclusive of department(s) capital budget plan(s), the integration of the budgetary and departmental business planning process, expenditure control, and accounting for revenue, capital, and operating costs in accordance with departmental and government policies, regulations and procedures. The Executive Director provides strategic advice and assistance to deputy minister(s), associate deputy minister(s), and chief executive officer(s) on strategies to assist them in meeting their fiscal objectives in the broader context of government’s overall objectives of fiscal sustainability.
