Job Description Medical Secretary Location: Rivers Hospital, Sawbridgeworth Hours: 26 hours per week, Part-time Salary: Up to £23,000 (pro-rata), depending on experience Summary: The Rivers Hospital is one of the leading private hospitals in the UK and being just off the M11, it is easily accessible from London and the Home Counties. The hospital is located in Sawbridgeworth on the Esinteraction, Hertfordshire border in beautiful countryside. The hospital opened in 1992 and is equipped with the latest medical facilities for diagnosis and treatment, and has very high quality clinical standards including effective infection prevention measures. The role: The Medical Secretary will be working directly for 2 consultants you will be responsible for their practices at The Rivers Hospital. The main emphasis of the role is preparing clinics, answering phone enquiries, booking operations, typing up records and ensuring results are actioned. The role will be very varied and demanding and you should be able to demonstrate flexibility within a very busy office and have sound written and verbal communication skills. What you’ll bring with you: Previous medical secretarial experience and knowledge of medical terminology desirable Experience of audio typing is essential A warm, considerate and empathetic character Sound written and verbal communication skills A flexible and positive attitude Positive and even tempered and demonstrate honesty, integrity and ethics in the workplace.
