About Our Opportunity The Nova Scotia Department of Finance and Treasury Board is seeking an experienced professional to lead its Provincial Tax Policy and Administration Division. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director is accountable for leading and managing a team of highly skilled staff and oversees the development, implementation, and administration of provincial taxation policy. The Director manages the staff and finances within the Division through effective divisional planning, team building, individual performance management and delegation. The Director ensures that the senior management and Minister of the Department are informed on a wide range of fiscal and business policy issues, as well as federal-provincial taxation and fiscal issues. You will lead the team to maximize the effectiveness of provincial taxation programs as a catalyst of economic and revenue policy, by periodically reviewing policies, legislation and regulations; establishing and implementing appropriate guidelines and procedures for program administration; and developing related communication strategies for ongoing administration of specific provincial tax programs and tax measures.
