Job Title: Finance Officer Location: Southampton Salary: £31,158 to £33,377Job type: Full-time / permanent About the role: SUSU are seeking a dynamic and passionate Finance Officer to join us full time (35 hours pw). The role will primarily be responsible for the efficient and effective processing of all aspects of the payroll function within SUSU, including accurate and timely production of it. In addition to payroll, they will be responsible for supporting with other finance duties and be a team player to ensure the smooth running of the Finance Team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a student led charity based in Southampton. The role offers the opportunity to gain a wide range of experience within the not-for-profit sector including supporting finance functions for our social enterprise outlets (shop, vegan café, café bar and pub), a varied events programme, and our very own lettings agency. Responsibilities: Reconciling balance sheet control accounts on a regular basis. Support with the month end and year end process. Including prepayments, accruals stock and bad debt provisions. Creating and inputting journals into the finance system as required. Resolve discrepancies between payments, control accounts, and submissions to third parties within a timely manner. Support the delivery of our Lettings and Money Hub, processing financial transactions including invoice and payments. Support with general queries whilst observing, identifying and suggesting more effective and efficient processes. Support with intercompany transactions as they occur and intercompany account transfers. Investigate customer and supplier accounts queries as they occur. Accurately deliver payroll Developing, communicating, and reviewing organisation-wide timetables to linemanagers and the People Team for timesheet submission allowing for variations inbusiness activity Work with the People Team to successfully deliver the payroll in line with agreedtimescales to.
