As Hardware Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include: : Taking primary responsibility for designing, creating and maintaining product circuit and schematic capture (in accordance with specifications) : Liaising with external contractors to ensure a full and proper flow of relevant information : Reporting completed and ongoing tasks to line manager on regular basis : Maintaining documentation of activities, as appropriate : Working closely with manufacturing operations to ensure seamless transition of data to finished assembly : Working closely with the purchasing function in terms of right first: time, cost: effective component selection and approval : Communicating effectively with clients, colleagues, suppliers and contractors at all times : Assisting with product VV and T, where required : Supporting production with fault finding when products have failed functional testing, when required We're looking for a Hardware Design Engineer with the following: : BEng / BSc Engineering Degree with a grade of 2.1 or above and relevant experience : Extensive previous experience of designing electronics : Proficient in Schematic Capture/PCB layout CAD packages such as Altium Designer : Strong understanding of power supply, analog and digital design : Familiarity with wireless communications: Wi: Fi, LTE and Io T Protocols : Familiarity with communication protocols: I2C, SPI, UART : Good level of capability in Microsoft Office for this.
