About this Job: A leading CPA firm at its Edmonton office is seeking a qualified full-time, Senior Tax Specialist Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be a designated accountant, public practice career-focused individual who is excited to join a growth-oriented, entrepreneurial firm wanting to develop their skills in income taxation. This will be a progressive position with opportunities for professional development and advancement. Responsibilities Preparation of tax files Preparation and review of personal, corporate and trust income tax returns Undertaking tax research with guidance from senior specialists Undertaking tax projects under supervision of senior specialists Liaise with tax authorities on tax audits and appeals Develop strategies for clients to capitalize on business opportunities Identify and document tax filing positions, including risk analysis Research and analysis of a variety of tax issues Prepare internal and external client correspondence Qualifications CPA designation 2-4 years’ experience in public accounting, Tax experience an asset Enrolled, or willing to enroll, in the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course Familiarity with Case Ware, Microsoft Office and Tax Prep Ability to interact with clients, co-workers, Managers and Partners Able to prioritize workloads, meet deadlines and work under pressure Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Values teamwork, client/customer service, professionalism, quality in detailed work, community involvement, personal and professional growth Powered by Jazz HR.
