They will represent employers in various legal proceedings, including court, administrative agencies, mediation, and arbitrations. The successful candidate must possess excellent academic credentials, a strong interest in labor and employment litigation, experience in class actions, and exceptional courtroom demeanor.Duties:Handle defense of agency charges of discriminationLitigate lawsuits involving employment-related claims, including wage and hour class/collective actionsProvide advice and counseling on employment laws and regulations, including anti-discrimination lawsRepresent employers in court, administrative agencies, mediations, and arbitrationsAdvise and train employers on a wide range of employment laws and regulationsHandle a broad range of employment matters, including discrimination, contract, employment tort, wage and hour, and non-compete casesRequirements:Juris Doctorate (JD) from an ABA-accredited law schoolCompetitive class rankingAdmitted to the CA State Bar and in good standingStrong desire for early courtroom exposureUnderstanding of current agency (state and federal) enforcement techniquesCertifications:Admission to the CA State BarSkills:Excellent academic credentialsExperience litigating class actionsStrong courtroom demeanorStrong client service aptitudeDetail-orientedSuperior interpersonal, analytical, and writing skillsExcellent attention to detailStrong organizational and project management skillsThis position is based in Sacramento, CA.
