Residential Support Worker, care coordinator, Support Worker, Care Assistant, Carer, care worker Residential Support Worker Location: Broadstairs, Kent Salary: £24,780 - £26,650 + Excellent Benefits Full-Time, Permanent, 52 week per year The Client: A reputable educational firm, our client provides education for children and young people with severe intellectual disabilities within the autistic spectrum continuum. The Role: As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in providing support to the residential home during out-of-school hours. Responsibilities: Collaborate with colleagues and professionals for child support. Prioritise health, well-being, and safety of children within the home. Enable effective communication between child / young person and parents / carers. Facilitate the contribution of each child / young person to household routines. Develop and update individual plans and support plans in collaboration with colleagues. Maintain compassionate and detailed records related to children/young people. Keep the young person at the centre during keyworker sessions and meetings. Carry out sleeping-in duties when required. Report concerns regarding safeguarding and child protection promptly to the Head of Residential Services or their deputy. Support young peoples learning and personal development. Advocate for their needs in schooling, healthcare, relationships, and social life. Work with all young people in the residential home. Requirements: Experience working with children and young people or adults with additional educational needs. Ideally possess Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent or must attain within 2 years of starting employment. Background in working with students with diagnosed difficulties SALT, ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, etc. Desirable Understanding of the Quality Standards.
