We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Southwark to assist with the appointment of a Positive Behaviour Support Worker, on a 3- month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Responsibilities: To exercise professional responsibility for the backssment and intervention with service users; working alongside other professionals in the multi-disciplinary team. To maintain a good working relationship with other members of the multi-disciplinary network and ensure effective communication through good verbal communication skills, the production of professional reports and attendance at multi-disciplinary meetings. To provide advice, guidance and consultation to social care practitioners, families, carers, support staff and other professionals. To take part in regular professional supervision and appraisal process. To write reports, case records and correspondences in line with departmental guidelines and policy and to undertake all administrative duties relating to the social care function. This will include accessing and inputting data into departmental databases and electronic recording systems. To recognise diversity and apply anti-discriminatory and anti-oppressive principles. To challenge appropriately when discrimination is evidenced. Ensure value for money principles are applied in all areas of service delivery in consultation with supervisor, manager and partner agencies. Qualifications & Experiences: PBS qualification (e. g. BTEC Level 4 Professional Certificate in Positive Behaviour Support) or equivalent professional or lived experience Experience of formulating and implementing support plans and behaviour interventions and strategies Experience of using person centred approaches to enable service users to achieve their goals, outcomes and maximise their independence Experience of working with children and young people / adults with learning disability and/or.
