We’re recruiting for summer students to help our province achieve big things! We are currently seeking three (3) Land Survey Resource Workers. The positions are located in Lunenburg, Tusket, and Lawrencetown. About Our Opportunity Looking for a rewarding summer job but don’t want to spend all day behind a desk inside? Come work for us and join an exciting team of survey professionals and technicians working on land surveying projects throughout the Western Region! Primary Accountabilities As a Land Survey Resource Worker with the Department of Natural Resources and Renewables, you will assist us with our ongoing program to coordinate existing Crown survey corners. You will be responsible for searching title to land being investigated, interpreting occupation and ownership evidence on aerial photography, satellite imagery and existing Crown Land Grant mapping. You will be required to work in the field the majority of the time looking for field evidence and collecting coordinates using RTK GPS. You will provide timely, efficient and accurate information and support to existing staff on a variety of natural resource matters. Some independent surveying field work and office work.
