We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Cardiff to assist with the appointment of a Social Work Assistant , on a 1.5-month contract , likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay : £15.00 per hour PAYE Responsibilities: To work in partnership with individuals, and involved networks to help them identify strengths, needs and outcomes To support individuals to maximise their independence and coping skills To undertake backssments including wellbeing backssments and risk backssments with individuals and their networks, whilst considering outcomes, available resources, policy and legislation To undertake non-complex capacity backssments To make recommendations regarding packages of care to meet identified needs, considering the flexible use of all available resources to meet identified needs Qualifications: GSCEs including maths & English, Post GCSE level Qualification Experience: Experience of working with people with learning disabilities and autism Understanding of the social model of disability Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
