The Training & Development Coordinator at Idaho Pacific keeps our 'pencils sharp'! Through the training and education of new and existing staff, the Training and Development Coordinator helps employees gain knowledge and skills about the work performed at Idaho Pacific, and how to safely and correctly perform required tasks that help employees be successful in the work they do. In addition, the Training and Development Coordinator may act as a mentor, fostering talent and encouraging employees to explore that talent by learning new or different roles and responsibilities - helping Idaho Pacific and our employees grow! Our T & D Coordinator will: Take on the responsibility of training all new employees to successfully perform their job. Guide existing employees in exploring positions of greater responsibility and providing job skills to be successful when they move up and move forward with us. Review personal safety, food safety and good manufacturing practices with all levels of staff; ensuring this knowledge is learned and used. Will work with Quality Assurance and Safety to accomplish this. Develop metrics that measure an employees success and evaluate and measures training effectiveness, and knowledge retention. Look for opportunities for continuous improvement, both with our people and our process. Coordinate training activities with department managers, supervisors, and leads to determine training schedules and training needs. Conduct necessary assessments to determine skill or knowledge gaps and work to address and improve them. Assist in the development and implementation of programs that will improve new hire retention and staff development. The successful candidate will: Become fully knowledgeable in Idaho Pacific's processes and procedures and have the ability to teach others. Effectively communicate information and motivate individuals to accomplish training and development goals and complete a full training cycle. Able to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) utilizing the English language. Bilingual skills in English/Spanish highly preferred. Be proficient with a Windows-based computer and successfully use specific software tools such as Microsoft Office. Be self-motivated and possess good time management skills. Demonstrate good attention to detail and a willingness to address problems and find solutions. Show flexibility with work schedule to provide training to all shifts or departments as needed for a 24/7 operation.
