Pikka has been identified as being among the top quartile of oil and gas develop Our focus in Alaska is advancement of our Pikka Phase 1 project, which includes a single drill site, an oil processing facility, and other infrastructure to support production of 80,000 barrels of oil per day. ma ment projects for greenhouse gas emissions performance. Pikka is poised to play an important role in the energy transition and is aligned with our company goal of naging climate change risk. Santos and its partner Repsol has committed the funding for Pikka Phase 1 and is on track to deliver first oil by 2026. The Pikka Unit is one of the largest conventional oil discoveries made in the United States in the last 30 years, and the Pikka Phase 1 Project is the most significant development on Alaska's North Slope in more than 20 years. The permitted Pikka development project includes two additional drill sites. The Alaska assets also include discoveries made from both the Mitquq and Stirrup exploration wells drilled in 2020. These opportunities combine to offer a clear path to long-term growth in Alaska. POSITION PURPOSE This position is an Integrated Commissioning and Operation role, it will be a project-based position for the project planning and execution phase focused on oversight and manage all different mechanical technician executing commissioning activities for the complete Pikka project. The role will support the Commissioning Manager in delivering the preparation and execution of commissioning activities providing commissioning completion activities including planning and execution, support during pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities. The position will be based on Santos HQ in Anchorage AK for the planning phase, performing multiples visits to the fabrication yards, on field execution, the position will be moved to the North Slope on rotational basis of 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Adhere to standards of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) and comply with the Santos Health, Safety & Environment Management System requirements. Coach personnel on safety observation and hazard identification.Follow and maintain Company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirements.Oversee and direct mechanical technicians in plan inspection, commissioning support and troubleshooting of mechanical (statics, rotating and packaging) equipment for Pikka facilities. Inspect work for quality. Performance manage as appropriate. Facilitate various training sessions and assurance of worker competency.Manage and provide daily / weekly reports to the Commissioning Manager and raise any concerns that may affect handover in line with the project sub - system delivery scheduleRepresent mechanical commissioning activities when interfacing with Construction and monitor contractors' mechanical completion and pre-commissioning activities (rotating equipment).Organize resources to conduct walks downs as required representing the Mechanical STO commissioning discipline.Approved completion of the Mechanical commissioning check sheets.Oversee and lead vendor representatives and site operations in commissioning and start up activities.Lead the execution of Mechanical commissioning packages.Oversees preservation for the mechanical and package equipment.Sign-off and approved logbooks of recorded commissioning and operational events.Approved and oversees preservation plans for the I&C and package equipment. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Formal Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical related field preferred Experience Experienced professional conversant with Oil and Gas Construction and Commissioning processes.Minimum of 15 years in the oil and gas industry and capital projectsMinimum 10 years' oil and gas industry experience in in Hook - up & Commissioning projects.Experience in design and commissioning.Ability to adapt to changing deadlines and achieve project goals and milestones.Ability to produce of detailed technical procedures, documents and work instruction and reports.Good understanding of Completions Management System methods and workflow, combined with an ability to fit design to deliverable.Conversant with relevant international standards and Client Codes or Practice and their application to the Completions process.Demonstrated Health, Safety and Environmental Awareness.Demonstrated written and oral communication skills across multiple employee levels and outside stakeholders.Good written and verbal communication skills
