Description:
Project manager Role and Responsibilities Primary role will be functioning as construction expert performing estimating, project management, client relations, and financial oversight for construction projects in the Twin Cities area. Role includes the following: Estimate project plans as necessary to support sales process Utilize estimating software to generate various prices for different scopes of work Obtain necessary pricing information from vendors and subcontractors Draft and send formal proposals to clients Create job starts (POs) in company software once job is awarded Select vendors and subcontractors to perform scope of work, managing all costs within expected margin goals Create and schedule all facets of work to be completed, managing the production process through onsite project supervisors Clearly communicate scope of work to project supervisors defining expectations of project Communicate effectively with client on project timelines, progress updates, and pertinent job-related information Problem solve issues and questions that arise during a project in a timely manner Provide accurate and timely billing information including change orders to office support staff, assist with collections process as needed Accountable to project outcomes including client satisfaction, project timelines, and profitability metrics Qualifications and Education Requirements 5+ years' experience in construction estimation and project management. Attention to detail; organizational skills; time management skills required. Good communication and customer service skills. Must work well both independently and as a team. Self-starter with proven ability to exceed goals. Willingness to learn additional skills required. Preferred Skills Applicant must have a basic knowledge of the construction industry. Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Xactimate required. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM or other client relationship management software preferred.
