Wilkes University invites applicants to apply for open SAT/ACT Strategies, a high school level teaching position for the Upward Bound program during the summer session. Upward Bound is a federally funded TRIO program, which provides support to high school students in their preparation for college, and ultimately, in their higher education pursuits. The successful candidate is responsible for implementing the academic component of the Program by means of teaching the soft skills, test taking strategies, and SAT/ACT background to a small group of high school level students in each class period (4). A Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, English, or a related field is required. Extensive experience and knowledge of the updated SAT/ACT and scoring guidelines preferred. This is a part-time/temporary position with a competitive hourly wage. Program dates run from June 19th through July 27th and classes are held throughout the week, Monday - Thursday (8:00 A.M. - 12:00P.M.).
