ABOUT THE ROLE: You will lead the day-to-day transportation operations and the team responsible for international and domestic inbound and outbound operations, including communications and reporting. You'll drive relationships with carriers and carrier network strategies! You'll also be the primary contact for our head office and Canadian distribution centers for inbound and retail outbound transportation, projects and strategies! WHAT YOU’LL DO: Lead overall transportation operations, focusing on safety, compliance, and carrier network efficiency, and lead transportation costs, service levels, and performance metrics, addressing issues for efficiency Establish and implement contractual performance metrics across the business, conducting regular business reviews with carriers, and ensuring performance and SLA adherence Collaborate with internal and external partners to forecast and meet capacity needs, identify risks, and track improvement plans, while working closely with internal partners to align strategies for 3PLs and meet SLAs Support the transportation team, crafting a collaborative and high-performance work environment, and ensure the team monitors relevant metrics and KPIs for data-driven decision-making Support the growth and development of the transportation team Take the lead in transportation P&L, driving cost-saving initiatives, leading all aspects of provider acquisition, and addressing client service failures promptly and methodically.
